Article by Jenny Gerleman - an intern at PlanIceland.com
I tried a second time to see the Northern Lights - and guess what ? I saw them!
The guide Kiddi from the golden circle and snowmobiling tour was generous to take me with him and his friend when they were going to see the Northern Lights. We drove off to Hvalfjörður and stopped there to see it. It was so magical! We could even see it dance. I tried to take some photos of the Northern Lights with my camera, and hey, you have to be prepared of how you take photos of Northern Lights. Thanks to Kiddi I got a few photos! So when is it the best time to see the Northern Light in Iceland? It’s in the months September to mid-April that you have the biggest chance of see it when it’s darker outside. And it’s good if the Icelandic weather is not too cold.
