Smáralind Shopping Center

Smáralind – Iceland‘s largest and most modern shopping center – welcomes you with around 100  shops and restaurants on three floors. Watches, engagement rings and design jewellery are available in Carat, Meba Rhodium and Jón & Óskar Goldsmiths, to name only a few; some pieces are custom made, others carved from Icelandic stones with Nordic mythology inspired themes. You will also find a wide range of cafés and restaurants in Smáralind, take-away coffee,TV-chef Jói Fel‘s gourmet bakery and even TGI Friday‘s. And for dessert? The local ice-cream store, of course.
And if you want to pamper yourself and enjoy some time in the gym or relax in a luxurious spa, Baðhúsið, spa and health club, with beautiful and tranquil settings and excellent facilities, is a true sanctuary for women. 


The only indoor family entertainment center in Iceland, Smáratívolí, is located in Smáralind. Smáratívolí guarantees a great time for all ages in a setting that has not been seen in Iceland before. If you want to have an adventurous time with your family or friends, Smáratívolí is a place worth visiting. 
The top notch cinema complex Smárabíó welcomes visitors with brand new international film selection and crispy local pop-corn at the north end of the mall. The gem of the five hall selection – all equipped for conferences and meetings – is the Luxury Hall, already the talk of the town long before its inauguration in 2001.

At the service- and information desk on the second floor you can get your tax–free refund prepaid. There you can also borrow baby strollers and wheel chairs, free of charge, buy stamps and bus tickets as well as gift certificates. The gift certificates are electronic and can be used in almost every shop in Smáralind. 
Smáralind also offers free access to Hnoðrakot, a cozy and peaceful room for people with toddlers offering comfortable facilities for nourishment, hygienics and consolation.


Smáralind is conveniently situated in the town of Kópavogur, only 10 minutes away from the center of Reykjavík, when travelled by car or bus.  The shopping center is easily accessible by bus from the city center and is serviced by three different bus routes, 1, 2 and 28.

Thursday: 11am-9pm
Friday: 11am-7pm
Saturday: 11am-6pm
Sunday: 1pm-6pm
