Grímsey Island

Grímsey Island is a green and uniquely fruitful island. The island is an outpost in the north with abundant fishing waters and colorful birdlife. Grímsey is probably best known among visitors for being on the Arctic Circle and visitors flock to the island from afar to step over the Arctic circle.

The island is 5,3 km2 in size and the distance to Iceland is 41 kilometers. The main industry is fishing and fish production.
