Selárdalur

Selárdalur is the outermost of the Ketildalir valleys on the west side of Arnarfjörður. Remarkable outdoor works of art and buildings can be seen at Brautarholt, created by the farmer there, Samúel Jónsson, (1884-1969). Fossils have been found on Mt. Þórishlíðarfjall, above the valley, including pre-Ice Age vegetation such as beech and vines.
